Before I even write the full review I am writing this here so it is seen early on. Hatchimal WOW Not Working We are already huge Hatchimals fans in our house, after reviewing the Hatchimals Hatchibabies last Christmas. We also love the Hatchimals Pixies and Hatchimals CollEGGtiblestoo. Spinmaster seem to come up with something fabulous every Christmas, as was the Luvabella and Luvabeau interactive dolls the previous Christmas, which captured both my girls’ imaginations. This is my favourite Hatchimals. I love unicorns so of course, that’s a bonus for me but knowing I can rehatch it, again and again, makes it even more fun.

Tilt the egg to wake up the Hatchimal – try to do this without touching the top of the egg, as this is where the sensors are that tell it that it’s in ‘in-egg’ mode. You need to do three interactions with the egg (tapping, tilting and the tilting for longer to ‘hug’ it) and then you should get ‘rainbow eyes’ and the egg will hatch. Put the Hatchimals WOW Llalacorn in the egg with the feet matching up to the grooves and ridges in the bottom of the egg. You can’t cuddle it and be close to it when you are playing with it, as it has to be on a flat surface.Overall I have to say, I was a little disappointed with the Hatchimals WOW, in comparison to the Hatchimals Hatchibabies we reviewed last year. Even though it re-hatches there are a couple of niggles, such as it doesn’t work on carpet or when you are holding it and the hatching process is not as fun. There is another big difference with this year’s Hatchimals; they come in massive pink glittery eggs which are made of solid plastic and can be re-hatched again and again. This will please parents whose children begged for the eggs and lost interest past the hatching phase! They come with a confetti fruit for feeding, plus you can teach them to talk, sing, dance, and so much more! There are over 250 reactions! WOW! The Llalacorn expresses her emotions through movement, and everytime it hatches, wakes up in one of 10 different moods. It’s very cute and kids who love to care for something, will love it. Cuddling and playing with it. The thing you want to do the most (well we did) is make it grow! There are various ways we had success with! As I wrote right at the start, it has to be on a FLAT SURFACE. We spent AGES trying to get it work at the start, until given a tip! A flat surface is not a carpet, it is a table. They come in a HUGE pink egg, but inside your new friend will grow up to 2.5 times bigger. Hatchimals WOW review

Sometimes it will start to sneeze and rise up and say "ahh ahh". Touch it's forehead to move it down. If you reach the bottom the sneeze goes away. If it reaches the top it will do a big sneeze. When you see the eyes of your Hatchimals WOW turn rainbow colour she is ready to hatch, at which point you should put the egg upright and take off the ribbon This only took around 3 or 4 minutes in our case (but can vary from one Hatchimals WOW egg to the next). The girls were VERY excited when they first saw the giant egg and couldn’t wait to get started in hatching their Llalacorn! Firstly, try replacing the batteries to see if this helps. You’ll need 4 AA batteries to replace the ones that are included. The instructions are so hard to decipher. As they cater for all languages, you have to wade through a lot, to find what you are looking for. Also they are complex! For example when recording your voice, there are so many things you can do and kids will need help with this.

There’s over 250 sounds and interactions as well. The first time the llalacorn hatches she will even sing Hatchy Birthday. The llalacorn can also ay “I love you,” giggle, cry, sneeze, hiccup, and can let you know when she’s hungry with a tummy rumble! Then I heard about the release of Hatchimals WOW – and quite literally WOW – I was pretty impressed by the concept even as a grown up! A hatchimal that not only grows and changes in size, but can be hatched over and over again, waking up in one of 10 different moods!! The hatching is by far the girls favourite part, so I felt that Hatchimals WOW would offer something a little different to what we had experienced before. Spinmaster very kindly sent us a Hatchimals WOW to review with the girls, and we were all pretty excited! The Hatchimals Wow Llalacorn can be re-hatched – something that you couldn’t do previously. Not only that, the egg it comes in is the largest Hatchimals egg ever! Recording your voice is fun and we did manage this. You hold both of the Hatchimals feet and the eyes go a teal colour. Say what you want to say and let go of the feet. You can make your recording be on repeat on pitch up depending on holding toes or touching the forehead or belly. The Hatchimals WOW Hatching Process

It’s really interactive and once figured out, is really good fun. It’s also good to play with your child for some time together. You can re-hatch the egg, which means the excitement continues and you can do this as many times as you want. The product has to be on a FLAT SURFACE or it doesn’t work. We spent ages playing with it on our carpet and it just would not do anything. I continually had purple eyes, which I believe is cuddle mode. We couldn’t get it to record our voices, we couldn’t get it to grow or feed with the fruit. We changed the batteries to a new set, as it is recommended after the first hatching and it still wasn’t doing anything. By chance we tried it on a table and after some follow-up advice IT WORKED! There are so many things you can do with your Hatchimals WOW. There is a comprehensive list in the instructions and I will highlight some of the things we managed to do, after we had figured out the Hatchimal needs to be on a flat surface.
