About this deal

It has great physicality as well: it is so physical I actually feel almost uncomfortable with certain tracks (e. But you have to ask yourself: is that enough to make you ignore the discomfort caused by the headband and the fact that they look like cheap headphones while they cost almost 2 grands? The connections to the cups are made with a 3,5mm jack, unlike in the OG HE6, and I see it as a great quality of life improvement. The LCD-4 and Final D8000 are probably the only main comparisons, with the D8000 extracting a little more fine detail with greater punch but they do not sound as neutral and well balanced as the HE6se. Starting with the build, LCD-MX4 is much more comfortable, at first, but it is also heavier than He6SE, and quite a bit so, so you're more likely to get good comfort from HE6SE than LCD-MX4, after you adjust to their personal fit and style.

Bass on the HE6SE v2 is almost perfectly neutral, with superb presence even in the lowest region and a great balance among its parts. I would recommend the HE6se V2 for anyone with a capable amplifier looking for a headphone with a great planar magnetic implementation.

So after 2 weeks and over easily 40+ hours of listening, I’d like to finally share my thoughts and impressions on this legendary headphone’s successor. There were headphones, Dacs, Amps coming out of that factory faster than the reviewers could keep up with. The Arya, Ananda, and Edition seem to be all the rage these days, probably because they're more recent releases compared to these older models. The two branches of HIFIMAN headphones seem to present different philosophies for how headphones should sound.

With an impedance of 50 Ω and a sensitivity of just 83 dB, the HE6SE v2 are very hard to drive and require lots of power: they need ~1. Soundstage is comparable in width, which is quite impressive given the Radiante are closed-back, while imaging is slightly better on the Radiante and instrument separation is better on the HE6SE v2. Also, before the end of this review, I want to ask for your kind support, as I started a Patreon Page, and if you want to pledge even one USD / EUR to helping me keep Audiophile-Heaven running, I would really appreciate your support.sources, you don't really miss anything on cables, unless you wanted a shorter / more comfortable cable. Now, the sound signature I personally favor is a relaxing, warm and sensual sound that just drifts me away in the emotional experience of the music being performed.
