About this deal

The more zealous your Novitiates are in the prosecution of their duties – skulking around, sneaking about, covertly chunking enemy operatives with giant swords – the more points you earn to spend on Acts of Faith. It lets you remove one Battle Scar from an operative after each battle’s Casualty Tests have been taken.

They can get a decent amount of attacks, but with D1 and no Ap, it’s going to be hard for them to really cut through units, especially with that 4+ WS. The standout strategic ploys for me are Bonded, which rewards you for pairing-up operatives and getting more re-rolls, and then Determined Tactician, that grants you a once-per-game second Art of War for operatives within red of your leader. You can also purchase it at my affiliate link from Element Games which will grant you a 20% discount at no extra cost to yourself while helping to support my work.

The first expansion to the new Kill Team system sees the Kriegsmen and Orks replaced with the Emperor’s most zealous followers, the Adepta Sororitas, and the blue-skinned advocates of the Greater Good, the T’au (or is it just Tau without the apostrophe these days? In the power vacuum left by the loss of the Emperor’s light, the T’au Empire’s Fifth Sphere Expansion is claiming world after world with Commander Shadowsun at their head. If you like Kill Team already, and have an interest in one or both of the Kill Teams in this box, then go nuts.Of the book’s 96 pages, the first 35 are devoted to all the lore and background you could ever possibly need to catapult your T’au Empire and Adaepta Sororitas squads from the world of wargames and straight into a fully-fledged TTRPG universe. Pious gives you back Faith points on a D6 roll of 5+ each time your operative performs one or more Acts of Faith during an activation.

Who will be victorious: the zealous followers of the God-Emperor, or the scions of the Greater Good? There’s also the Essentials Collection, which has everything the Rules Collection has as well as some tokens, some gauges, and a few bits of scenery. But if you’ve been bitten by the Kill Team bug and want to get playing as soon as possible, the route you need to take is a little more difficult. There’s also a chunky 96-page rulebook containing detailed new rules for both teams and their operatives, as well as plenty of background on the escalating war for the Chalnath Expanse and nine new missions.

Blessed Blade pulls the same trick Honour Blade does, improving your WS by 1 but only upping your Critical damage by 1. Easy to navigate, packed with info, and well-formatted, it’ll make a fantastic companion to any KiIll Team Core Book. The short answer is probably no, well unless you have to have those new minis for your Sisters or Tau. We mainly cover Warhammer 40k, Fantasy, Age of Sigmar, Warmachine, Hordes, X-Wing, Infinity, Horus Heresy, and Star Wars Armada.
