Midnight Rose starts off very very sweet for me: I smell a lot of sweet, fruity- almost caramel-ish rose, and a strong presence of jasmine for about 15 seconds. Unfortunately my skin really picks up on the earthy notes in this perfume over the raspberry and floral notes, which is a bummer because I really am not a fan. This often creates a smooth and round texture, which is hard to achieve with the dilution represented in the other concentrations of fragrance. It will always have a special place in my heart and I don’t think I’ll ever want to be without a bottle of this.

I know there is no coconut mentioned in the notes, but I get lots of coconut (which is first on my dislike list). I think the pepper and the cassis add nothing to this perfume, it makes it smell like it's gone rancid or something. In my country, local artisans make traditional carvings out of rosewood, and I was immediately reminded of this on the dry-down; which for me, I absolutely love.Lancôme was founded in 1935 by Guillaume d'Ornano and his business partner Armand Petitjean in France. I ended up spilling my sample and a day later caught a whiff of delicious tart raspberry and was wondering what it was - it was this! It's just so pretty, and intoxicating, and sexy that it's a perfect scent for hair when you throw a little hair-flip in that flirtatious conversation. I don’t get the overly sweet berry vibe (wish I did) Instead I guess what I get is the cedar and it is strong and overpowers the fragrance. Perfumes are often designed with top, middle and base notes, and designed to smell different based on the time after application.

The opening is fresh but there’s an underlying spiciness to it - I don’t want to use the word smoke because that would turn people off. beautiful surprise today when i tried a tester of this perfume, and not the last bit of perfume that i’ve been keeping in my collection as a souvenir… the beautiful uplifting blend of fruity rose, musky and lively with a hint of a dusty background, on a cold winter day, the memories of an old signature scent!Emma Watson was a good representation of the fragrance, a girl morphing into an elegant young woman. A spritz on your hairbrush or behind your knees can create a delightful and playful scent that lasts throughout the day. It is not as dark and sultry smelling as the commecials with Emma Watson for Lancôme would have you believe.

I think you can also wear it on date nights or for nights out in autumn/winter and it is probably excellent for this purpose too. Since its inception in 1935, Lancôme products have stood out because of their proven results and boast a French magic. I think everyone who gets along with MR, keeps her in their collection for her ability to work in most occasions, and most temperatures, except high heat.Her dress in the movie is made of tissue fabric, and this scent gives you that airy tissue powdery rose scent.

Longevity is also superb; you will be able to smell this on your clothes and bedsheets, which is a good thing.To me, Trésor Midnight Rose smells like a fairytale, sweet and romantic with some darkness below the surface. I’ll always associate Midnight Rose with the thrill of swing dancing barefoot across the floor in my Little Black Dress, locking eyes and laughing with the love of my life. I was really surprised and self conscious, I couldn't turn back to see them, I didn't know if it was a good or a bad thing, until I arrived at work and my friends told me I smelled great. this little gem is like thousand times fresher than half of the male (yep, male) fragrances produced every year since invictus and Y became popular. After reading so many positive reviews for Lancome's Tresor Midnight Rose, I thought for sure I'd found it.
